Fundamentals

Starting any new sport, much less a martial art, can be difficult. Our Fundamentals classes let you learn the basics in a very controlled, safe, and fun environment. The curriculum introduces all the basic positions, techniques, submissions, and escapes.

It all starts with three one-on-one lessons. Taught by a certified instructor, these prepare you for the Fundamentals group classes. From there you will build toward both self defense and sport Jiu Jitsu, while improving your fitness, balance, and coordination.

The Fundamentals program is designed for anyone, male or female, of any body type, fitness level, or age 14 and older. This class lays the foundation of knowledge that everything else builds on.

Build Your Game

Intermediate

Designed for students who have completed the Fundamentals curriculum or attained at least a two stripe white belt. The Intermediate curriculum prepares you to earn your blue belt, begin sparring, and take part in advanced classes.

Here you progress systematically to improve your understanding, reflexes, and overall development. The intermediate class was built with the white belt in mind, but it is also valuable for more advanced students perfecting technique or returning from a layoff.

Sharpen Everything

Advanced And Competition

For students who have completed the Fundamentals and Intermediate curriculum or hold at least a blue belt. This is the class for people who want to evolve toward the advanced belts, compete, or test their abilities in the most practical setting.

The whole world of Jiu Jitsu, from simple to complex, is an open book to be studied, evaluated, drilled, and put into practice. Expect more complex positional study and more intense sparring. Our competition team trains several times a week in a dedicated class.

You do not have to compete to train here. Plenty of our advanced students never step on a competition mat, and they get every bit as much out of the class.

The Gentle Art

Technique Over Strength

Jiu Jitsu is known as the gentle art. The movements should be executed without force, which is what allows anyone to train it and be successful at it.

The efficiency has already been proven, through decades of challenge matches from the 1950s through the creation of MMA in the 1990s. That gives students real certainty in their ability to defend themselves in daily life.

Alongside that confidence, Alliance has an atmosphere of companionship and fun that runs through the whole academy, built on the discipline and respect our students learn through the Alliance teaching method. Alliance is an academy for everyone, regardless of age or previous experience. Come be part of our family, too.
